In the first three months, 16% of charging sessions were unsuccessful, according to J.D. Power. That's the best number from the last four years.

That’s pathetic. That needs to get down to near zero for EVs to truly replace ICEs. Can you imagine if 16% of gas pumps didn’t work? There’d be an uprising.

I luckily haven't had any issues so fast. And even noticed more places have a card reader on the charger too. I'd love to not have any charging apps lol

The economics of a charging station seem a little weird. It's, maybe, averaging, $20 per hour for the customer.

What percentage of that is going to the electricity?

Theoretically the machines are simple without moving parts, and most malfunctions should just be users breaking parts. Or software needing a reboot. So maybe low cost to run, after the initial price?

EV charging might just need to have an attendant. Increasing reliability and convenience up front would be an investment in that charging company's future.
