I'm building a small home server, and I'm looking for reliable and affordable storage. I'm looking for an SSD for the main system, and 8TB HDDs for the rest. What options do we have that are European? Goodram seems to be an option for the SSD, but what about the larger drives?

Are there any european HDD manufacturers?

I'm guessing probably not, but maybe we have something headquartered in Europe, designed in Europe?

tbh I would prioritize ecology over Europeanness here and look for used storage disks (unless one has extraordinally high demands as to stability and integrity)

I'm very open to this option, if I can find a supplier near me.

Goodram produces some SSDs and RAM. I don't know if they're built in Europe tho.
