Yeah, this is why I find online groups difficult (since they usually have too many people all talking over each other), and offline groups that are too big.

I just like talking to one (or many in the case of plural folks) person at a time, or a very small group where we already know each other.

Too many can be just one. My husband has started pausing his music in the car of he asks me something. And he's incredibly patient if we're out to eat and the next table over has loud talkers. I just can't form coherent thoughts over loud talkers.

that's where you just stop trying to process things, if someone tries to talk to me while we're walking next to a loud road i just give a small laugh and shout something like "AFTER THE TRAFFIC ENDS"
