This proves how good lemmy users really are. I did not realize this community had no moderation for the past two years as this community has not become as chaotic without a moderator.

How it sounds in my head:
Thanks!
Just stay light, community has apparently functioned mostly ok without moderation, so just do minimum needed and don't create new bureaucracy. Thanks for stepping up.
I certainly agree and thank you, no worries.
Sounds good to me!
As for rules, I'd say adhere to the instance rules for lemmy.ml, then encourage civil discussion, be kind to each other, etc etc. Can't imagine there will be too many problems in a comm about Firefox, outside of trolls.
Sounds good to me and by the looks of things I believe you are right.
I would love to see a rule prohibiting memes and in-jokes. They degrade the experience so much.
They aren't exactly frequent in this sub, but if you're asking for rules, that's what I would like to see.
Thanks for the suggestion, I do find this to be annoying in other communities, but as you said it doesn't seem to be a big issue here at present.
I intend to leave this post pinned for quite a while so that I can try to get a good idea of the general consensus of the community on the suggestions, so if it looks like most feel this is needed as time goes on then I would be glad to implement it.
If they’re infrequent and upvoted enough for you to see them, I don’t see the value in banning them.
