Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

8 months since I've worked and I'm still suffering burnout. I'm not surprised after over a decade of never having more than 4 days off at a time but I was hoping I'd be recovering faster.

It's been really difficult to motivate myself to do anything other than play Minecraft and animal crossing lately. The daily list of things to do in my games keeps me sane.

I want to start working again but every time I think about putting in applications my dread spikes.

Edit spelling

It fluctuates between “Functioning” and “Depleted”. Could use a good charging.

Permanently overworked 😊💕

My Thinkpad's battery has aged over the years and can now only hold about 20% of what it could at a max charge compared to when it was new. For some reason, I find that highly relatable 🥱

Right now hovering between overworked and depleted. Working on executing my plans to free myself up more, but it's still a long road ahead.

One of them is to get a new job, and the search is rough.

I'll bet mate what kind of job are you looking for?

I am a web developer, so I'm hoping to find another programming gig. The company I'm currently working for is failing. The search just started last week, so it's to be expected I don't have anything yet. I hear that it's not a good time to look for a dev job, but I'm going to keep trying anyway.

I may have to take something else to stay afloat (my family's medical needs are high $$$), but I've definitely been in worse situations.

Thats a lot to manage. Job hunting is stressful at the best of times and sounds like it's not a great time for it. Medical needs are stressful enough without worrying about money. I don't know anything about web development, so sorry I don't have much to add... just remember we're here anytime you need to vent

Thanks so much, the venting really helps a lot tbh and helps me get through some days.

Np we got you

Moments away from burnout level, but that's about normal for me now to the point it doesn't faze me. So many meds, all of them with side effects that make me weak and tired 24/7...

Depleted. Physically and mentally. Can't do shit. Everything is so aggravating.

Constantly fluctuating between depleted and burnout.

For some reason this made us think of https://youfeellikeshit.com/, a self care website.
