I am really, really sorry. That really bothers me when people do it, but I know it helps them. I try to tolerate it if I'm not having an awful sensory day, but sometimes it's like the noisy lightbulb and I just can't take it.

Then who raises the sheep?

Megacolon sounds a lot cooler than it really is.

I like your little sauce cups for mise en place.

Not belonging. Never knowing if who I am will stop me from getting the help I need.

When I left my ex, I needed state enforcement to stop him from hurting me again. Years later, I began dating a woman. It was terrifying to know that if someone doesn't like it, they can give him access to me or my daughter again. Has he gotten bored with us? No, unfortunately. Constant vigilance. No mistakes.

I work in a male dominated field. Which is hard enough as a woman. But I managed to keep being promoted. I was able to provide for my family. Until they found out I was gay. Then my reviews were lukewarm, I got shut out of important meetings, and there was no more opportunity for growth.

I lie on my paperwork for doctors now. I've had one gyno go from friendly to cold with me after asking about my partner. (I find it's best to always say you're single anyway, that way they don't seek permission from anyone you might be involved with.) I thought it was relevant because it was care for my genitals. But I can't trust it. I'm already ignored enough at the doctor. I don't need to give them even more reasons.

It shouldn't be like this. I shouldn't have to hide things about myself just to live.

I haven't been able to figure out how to do continuous printing on it without having to cut the labels with a separate pair of scissors. A previous handheld p-touch did this fine which minimized waste. (It would begin to print, prompt you to cut, then finish printing.)

I'm thinking it was user error on my part, but I'm hoping diving back into the docs will help.

At least third-party tapes seem to be very reliable.

I recently got one too. I previously just used sharpie and painters tape or a small strip of paper and scotch tape, but the label maker is great for things that will have the same label for a long time. Looks very nice.

I'm still using the old ways for shorter term labels. But the label maker is motivating me to finish getting things together faster.

Hmm... I think I need some inspiration too.

I like making surfaces in my home shiny, like my microwave or shower. Would you find a sense of accomplishment cleaning something small like your sink and admiring it? Sometimes I like the squeaky sounds when I scrub a surface... Kind of soothing.

I find if I just focus on a little part at a time, the task seems less daunting and it makes it easier to get started.

Thanks! Unfortunately a lot of healthcare I need is not available to me, either due to cost or because proper treatments/cures don't exist yet. But it was a nice thought anyway.

I am so jealous. My old work had stalls with gaps. The whole room was a bit tight, so you couldn't just back up far enough to see the feet of the person in the stall. The locks were installed in such a way that if you pulled the door a little, it would open. (So a discreet soft pull on the door was not a good way of determining occupancy.)

The only way to know was to look in the gap.

I was about to go in a stall when I made eye contact with the current occupant of said stall. She just yelled out "YOU CREEPIN?"

I am of course not socially awkward at all and was completely normal when I replied back "no... Sorry."

Actual privacy in a multi-stall bathroom would be so nice.
