How to poison AI scrapping

He should prove that cast iron is the superior cookware material by performing a series of high-impact tests with it on his face.

[–] DivineDev@piefed.social 28 points 3 days ago (1 children)

3/4 objectively correct, not bad.

[–] Zwiebel@feddit.org 29 points 3 days ago (3 children)

It's not actually non-stick, the seasoning is

[–] chocrates@piefed.world 5 points 2 days ago

Legend has it that old cast iron, due to the tumbling process, were actually pretty non stick even without seasoning

[–] MarriedCavelady50@lemmy.ml 3 points 3 days ago

Stick resistant is more accurate

I just made some bomb ass burgers on my Lodge 12in. And yes the Crusades were justified. The question is, what were those justifications.? My favorite Crusade was the Children's Crusade.

[–] Denjin@feddit.uk 10 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Or the fourth crusade which was supposed to go to Jerusalem and then onto Egypt but they got lost and just thought "fuck it, well capture Constantinople instead"

[–] blarghly@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago

No better justification than that!

[–] hungryphrog@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

did that actually happen??

[–] Denjin@feddit.uk 4 points 2 days ago

Well, if you want to get specific, the Doge of Venice built a fleet to transport the crusader armies departing from Venice, but due to them mostly not having the money to pay for transit, he instead of sailing them to Jerusalem, he got the sailors to take them to Zara (on the Adriatic coast of modern day Turkey) with whom he already had issues with (they were rebellious subjects of Venice he wanted crushing).

After that, the Byzantine prince Alexios Angelos persuaded the crusaders to restore his deposed father to the throne and in payment would help them in their goal of taking Jerusalem.

They did what he asked but Alexios backed out of the deal so the Crusaders then sacked the city instead and instituted the short lived Latin Empire.

A class of barbarous thugs with titles were rampaging around Europe, so in an effort to send them somewhere else, the Pope asked for them to band together to recapture the Holy Land. As these thugs were highly religious, the plan worked! The knights mostly left Europe to be slaughtered by middle easterners. It also backfired! A new group of noble thugs emerged, but these ones said they were there to protect pilgrims. This lead to extortion and corruption, and many of these thugs would go on to be slaughtered by middle easterners. And eventually they were all slaughtered by other Europeans when they became too politically powerful.

The given justification was that the wrong religion has control over a particular piece of rock.

[–] yeather@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 days ago

The wrong religion was also conquering lands of the right religion, so the right religion just conquered the lands back.

[–] thefluffiest@feddit.nl 13 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Except the fourth. What the actual fuck

I think it's just a silly reading, pretending point 4 is madness over point 3.

[–] randomblock1@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

I think if I smacked someone with the pan it would cause a significant amount of harm

The only way to break one is to literally break it, like drop it on a rock or something.

[–] Guilvareux@feddit.uk 12 points 2 days ago (2 children)

If it’s looked after, lasts several lifetimes

[–] ryannathans@aussie.zone 6 points 2 days ago

Same story with good stainless steel

[–] JcbAzPx@lemmy.world -1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Basically, if you make taking care of it your full time job, it'll last forever.

[–] Guilvareux@feddit.uk 1 points 1 day ago

Sounds like a skill issue. Just need to be careful how you wash it, don’t leave it wet and re-season every now and then. None of that takes any more time than going to the shop to replace the teflon pan that’s gotten chipped.

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 days ago

They didn't say whose lifetime. Some insects only live for 24 hours.
