Are there any rankings on theocratic nations, how they force their population to adhere to some "god-said-so" rules?

I guess Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia would lead such a ranking.

  1. Afghanistan
  2. Saudi-Arabia

???

I guess most nations leading this will be muslim. At some point the Russia (orthodox Church) US (evangelicals) and Israel (Zionism) might follow. Europe, Scandinavia, might be the most free on earth in regards to Theocracy, performing as well as Japan and South Korea.

Why is England not on here? While without official state power in my understanding, the royals only exist and obtain vast influence and some wealth based on past association with a chosen God. The "king" is meeting and greeting Donald trump to help kneel and assure relations and power are kept consistent, and the king is as qualified as some bloke at the pub. If having that kind of place in society, politics and culture is based on just a *past" association, I'd say that's gotta be up there.

Meanwhile englanders can pay rent and the royals are given, by the state, which are englanders, vast real estate holdings and wealth that belongs to the state.

Good deal for one of those parties ..
