I have no idea how you are doing it as that is under 30k a year if you get full hours each week and your rent is over 24k. so like less than 500 a month for everything else and that is pretty rough just getting food.

Roommate. He doesn't charge me an arm and a leg, but the living conditions are less than stellar. Pretty gross, tbh. I fast every other day, so food isn't a big deal. 50 dollars every 2 weeks on groceries
This believe it or not is familiar. Is it animals making it less livable or just the general state of the place. Its funny because I have sometimes posted about my own budget and I mention my over 2k rent is a pretty darn affordable situation. If we lose it we are toast (wife and I)
Both, tbh. I can only really inhabit my room because everywhere is gross and I'd have dogs jumping on me otherwise
yeah it would be good to go to a city where you can use transit and have libraries and all kinds of stuff going on. I can say chicago does have efficiencies that are below a thousand and of course getting roommates works to (but at least an efficiency is yours and you have peace) only thing is the whole federal government seige of the city and its not a great job market pretty much anywhere in the country right now.
True enough. Here's to hoping something balances out/goes in the correct direction sooner than later
Honestly, thank each and everyone of you for responding. 💛 I'm looking into everything you guys have recommended and gonna see what fits best for me. Love y'all!
