Just a reminder: Taylor Swift is a billionaire. Maybe she's just as principled as all the other billionaires.

One thing is for sure: I hear about her way more than I want to, just like other billionaires.

That's because Shitler is obsessed with her, and you hear a lot more about him that you want to also.

Did you mean Xitler?

Taylor Swift is also one of the top pop artists of all time.

Instead, sharp-eyed Swifties started to spot what appeared to be AI-generated imagery within the teaser videos, and launched full Swift-vestigations into the situation.

Some Swifties will instead claim the Swift-vestigations is rather inconclu-Swift.

I ~~wish~~ Swiff I didn't read that. My brain hurts. (btw reminds me how smurfs talks)

Sorry, it's rather Taylor-made for this occasion.

Something something die a hero, something something... erh, you know how it goes.

[–] arox@lemmy.frozeninferno.xyz 9 points 6 days ago (1 children)

You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

[–] Midnitte@beehaw.org 6 points 6 days ago

You either die poor, or become rich enough to become a baronrobber.

Taylor Swift does not create the promotional videos. Its her marketing department. I guess she is responsible for this, if she does not make sure. But really, maybe she didn't realize it was Ai material; if she ever looks at her own marketing videos...

[–] artyom@piefed.social 13 points 6 days ago

I guess she is responsible for this

Correct

It is also important to note that Taylor Swift has a very different relationship to her marketing department compared with other artists.

Most artists have agreements with existing agencies and may not have full control over their work. Taylor Swift, in contrast, built a marketing group with the some focus on marketing her. Taylor controls her marketing team entirely, and with that control comes responsibility.

One thing has nothing to do with the other. Just more, "Get a horse," anti-AI energy.

[–] RenLinwood@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 5 days ago

Considering AI functions using input consisting of the work of actual artists, almost entirely uncompensated, and the output is used to avoid compensating actual artists, yeah actually they're extremely related

Given that she, and her entire band, have been proven to use recorded tracks instead of performing live at their concerts, I don't see that this is a big departure.
