Rules for Posting Guides on Our Community

1. Defining a Guide Guides are comprehensive reference materials, how-tos, or comparison tables. A guide must be well-organized both in content and layout. Information should be easily accessible without unnecessary navigation. Guides can include flowcharts, step-by-step instructions, or visual references that compare different elements side by side.

2. Infographic Guidelines Infographics are permitted if they are educational and informative. They should aim to convey complex information visually and clearly. However, infographics that primarily serve as visual essays without structured guidance will be subject to removal.

3. Grey Area Moderators may use discretion when deciding to remove posts. If in doubt, message us or use downvotes for content you find inappropriate.

4. Source Attribution If you know the original source of a guide, share it in the comments to credit the creators.

5. Diverse Content To keep our community engaging, avoid saturating the feed with similar topics. Excessive posts on a single topic may be moderated to maintain diversity.

6. Verify in Comments Always check the comments for additional insights or corrections. Moderators rely on community expertise for accuracy.

Community Guidelines

By following these rules, we can maintain a diverse and informative community. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to the moderators. Thank you for contributing responsibly!

This one’s alright but most of these tips come with caveats.

Right now I wish I had worked harder earlier in my life. I don’t have issues expressing myself, and I have a lot of friends I stay in touch with and plenty of other friends who dropped off the radar.

I used to keep the conversation going with a lot of friends but I came to realize they weren’t making the effort otherwise. When I stopped doing that I never heard from them again. People who aren’t willing to meet you halfway are not your friends.

As for happiness, that depends on how you find it. I find happiness in constantly learning, striving to accomplish goals, pursuing my hobbies, volunteering, and spending time with friends & family. I don’t think I’ve ever felt like I wasn’t letting myself be happy. I guess some people get stuck in some bad situations and they’re miserable all the time. I wish I knew how to help them.

Neither did I until a couple days ago. Was sorting all my stuff and went "Huh... I wonder if there's an infographics community for me to post in?" Turns out there's a science memes one too so I ended up having two new comms to annoy.

You've got a typo in your post mate. You typed "annoy" instead of "make brilliant as always"

But I think that description belongs to you, dear <3

Oh yeah. He spent a whole episode of Voyager trying to fuck Janeway. Not even a joke. Was literally the plot of the episode.

I'm surprised you never noticed !science_memes@mander.xyz, it feels like one of the most active comms out there

I definitely believe these are true, but what is the source of the data?

I wholeheartedly agree with this guide.

When I was in college, I reached a point where I was wishing I was dead. I couldn't even remember what it felt like to be happy. What was the point of living? What was I suffering for? But I remembered there are things I really want to do in life. So what was keeping me from doing them?

I decided, if I'm going to die, why don't I just go ahead and do the things I truly want to do in life.

Even if I fail and want to die again, I can wait until after trying all the things I want to do in life first.

Today, I'm feeling great. Ever since that time, I've gotten to do more and more of the things I wanted, accomplished goals that would've felt impossible for me back then. Because I figured out what was important to me and decided to keep moving forward.

So don't stop! Don't be afraid to fail horribly. Just keep moving. Life is too short to always be worrying about all that stuff all the time. Figure out what you want to do and do it!

For what it's worth, near the end my grandma talked a lot about how she was so sad that young people didn't go to dances anymore.

There were a few other things she focused on as well that largely line up with the guide, but she really kept coming back to how sad she was that dances fell out of favour because they were so fun and magical.

So I showed her a bunch of rave and festival memories that the rest of my family haven't seen, to make sure that she knew that we were in fact, still out there dancing.

If you live your life waiting for confirmation from others you always be disappointed. However, if you live to annoy others....
