1899
I'm still heartbroken Netflix cancelled it because it had the unfortunate timing of airing at the same time as Wednesday. The directors' previous series, "Dark", was a proper mindfuck.

1899

Dark was amazing. I didn't bother with 1899 after I heard that it was cancelled.
I think I'm developing a fear of commitment with shows these days, with so many cancelations
Firefly. There is no other answer for me.
Came here to say this. The movie helped but not as much as another season.
There is nothing really close. Better off Ted is an obvious if distant number 2 for me.

I Am Not Okay With This
Had a great first season on Netflix, then got cancelled. I think it had to do with COVID, but still, that was a horrible cliffhanger ending. Any kind of continuation would be amazing.
Of course, there are the classics: Firefly, Better Off Ted, Hannibal, Carnivale (::shakes fist at the air::).
But I'd love to see the rest of The Nevers. They unveiled the big twist and there are 6 more episodes floating in the ether yet to be aired.
Lockwood & Co. was so perfectly cast. It broke my heart not to get a season 2!
I'd love to see more of "Don't Trust the B... in Apt. 23." Kristen Ritter was so great in that!
And I'd like to see how the relationship in "Selfie" played out, it ended on such a hopeful note. Karen Gillan and John Cho had a weird, quirky chemistry.
I had no idea that they cancelled Lockwood & Co! Ugh thatβs depressing. That show really surprised me and I liked it a lot.
Firefly
At least we got serenity to kinda tie up lose ends
Was gonna say, kids these days don't know the pain of 2000's Fox!
Hi Randall Munroe!
The Expanse
Star Trek Enterprise season 5. That show was just starting to get really good.
Would love to have seen the Romulan wars.
Mindhunter, without a doubt.
I'm still sad when I think of what could've been
Fringe
Sense8. There's nothing else quite like it. I really wanted to see more of that story, I'll never forgive Netflix for cancelling it.
Pushing Daisies
The OA. Fuck Netflix for canceling it.
Also 1899.
I probably shouldn't be surprised, but I can't freaking believe that someone has the same two answers as me. We'll get through this, friend.
i can think at least three reasons:
Deadwood. The movie was too little way too late.
As a HUGE deadwood fan, i agree. Its probably my overall #1 favorite show of all time. I felt like the movie was Milch calling in before his disease took him completely.
Final Space.
Olan had one season left before the company buried the show as a tax write off
Reading this made me look it up. Final Space was more than a one season show?? Guess I have some catching up to do.
If you missed it, Olan got a deal to put out a hardback graphic novel tying up the show, called Final Space Ends. Upside: a real ending. Downside: not a show, not available digitally(one of Warner's conditions), and it's $125. Tentatively scheduled to ship late next year.
So realistically it doesn't have an ending, because there is a zero percent chance I will ever pay $125 for it...
firelfy
Firefly
Better off Ted
I need more Veridian Dynamics.
Also, casting Linda as Ted Lasso's wife and having her say "Ted" was one of the most jarring experiences I've had watching TV. All suspension of reality was completely broken.
I noticed that too!
Dead Like Me
People have already beaten me to Firefly over and over again so I'll add one likely to have been forgotten:
Carnivale.
Ended on an unbelievable cliffhanger, left SO MUCH unanswered, could've run for another decade. I'm re-mad that this show got canceled now.
Pushing Daisies never got the ending it deserved. Everything had to be hastily wrapped up in one entire episode, third season setups were just left as loose ends, and it really didn't do such a great show justice
Santa Clarita Diet
Raised By Wolves
The Expanse. The show had a satisfying ending but the books went a bit further into the future and I'd like to see more in the shows.
Unironically Mindhunter. I'm so mad it's been canceled. Such a great show.
Stargate Universe! The way it ended was so unfair and yet the perfect setup for something new. Thereβs been rumors brewing for years and years at this point but nothing concrete has happened yet.
Dirk Gently, the BBC America/Netflix one.
First season, phenomenal! Second season was pretty good, not as good as the first but still good. It set up a lot of things that were then not continued and I just want to know what they had planned.
Also Snowpiercer: You've filmed it, you've edited it, just let us see it!
(Edit: posted this as a reply to someone else. My bad!)
My Name is Earl
Better off Ted
Pushing Daisies
ETA: I should've finished reading this thread. Of course these two would be mentioned!
Adventure Time. It really needed one more season to fully flesh out the storylines they set up. Cartoon Network really screwed them (and other shows like SU) over
Expanse, of course
