I have a soft spot for deckbuilders and I love how Clank took this and just made into something so fun! We played three games so far and the variable dungeon layout really adds a lot to the session. Sometimes the paths are easy and other times its really hard to get out.
I am not fully convinced by this yet, I kinda like the thematic Clank maps. But it looks cool on the table and I love everything Clank so I think I will have to get it sooner or later. I am also curious what they will come up with in the inevitable expansions.
Our first session was somewhat lackluster, the route to escape was super easy. But the sessions afterwards, usually with three instead of two, were much better and felt like an improvement over the fixed map. In our last game everyone but one died on the way out, this finale was very exciting:D
We love this game!
That looks sick! Really wanna try this version someday, but my friends and I just threw our money at the Clank Legacy 2 Kickstarter so this one will have to wait a bit.
