I got it very late in its lifespan, just a few years ago, and I feel that a lot. I remember the proprietary memory cards being the major issue I had that prevented me from buying one originally, and they’re even more of an issue now that they’re out of production and the ones available are aging.
Thankfully, the homebrew scene provided workarounds to use microSD, but you lose the ability to play cartridges easily, so I haven’t done so myself.
It’s really a great console though. Basically a pocket PS2.5 I’d say. Sometimes closer to a pocket PS3. Plus the ability to play cross platform PS3 games, certain PS2 remasters, and Sonys (then) whole offering of PS1 ports really opens up the library on top of the smattering of quality Native Vita titles it had.
Dude do remember when the PS4 launched and it had the remote play function? I thought that was so cool. Things like that to me showed me that Sony was really making new leaps for handheld, but just kinda gave up?
I really loved the Vita. Probably my favorite handheld console of all time.

I have the 2ds XL, and I love it. I’ve always wanted to try the 3D on the New 3ds, but never had a chance. Link Between Worlds is one of my favorite Zelda games.
ALBW is so good! Really fun in 3D.

Retroid Pocket Flip, it seems.
That’s the Retroid Pocket Flip. It’s an Android emulation device. Can handle most things ps1 and older, and a good bit of GameCube and ps2 libraries also.

Dbrand is awesome for skins! Verticals are a miyoo mini, anbernic rg35xx, and anbernic rg351v.

I'm still waiting for the steam deck to release in my country. I keep being tempted towards the anbernic windows device though.

How's the flips battery life? Been considering it as an android handheld for Hardcore RetroAchievements.
It depends what you’re playing on it, for sure. I Can get a couple hours of GameCube or PS2, and a few hours of older games. I mostly use it for the former, though I’ll occasionally use it for platformers that need more precision than the Analogue Pocket’s dpad Can provide. It’s still a mushy dpad, but much less prone to false diagonals than Analogues.
I love the Flip’s dpad. It’s basically become my dedicated Tetris machine.
I'd be playing PSP/Dreamcast/PS1 and before.
What's the one playing Dark Alliance II? I thought that was on like PS2 and stuff

How good is the steamdeck, I hesit to get one ?
Can't tell you how good it is (yet) but you should figure it out soon, it's currently discounted during the summer sale
What do you play most on your Vita?
I’m playing through the PSP exclusive God of War games right now, but typically I use it as my JRPG machine. I have many final fantasy games on it, as well as games like Persona 3+4.

I so want the steam deck, but just can’t justify it, atm.
Yeah, I got a sale notification this weekend. The price is great but I'd love something a little smaller. Also tough to justify here too. Enjoying my retroid pocket 3 plus at the moment.
I love handhelds, I'd like to own a Steam Deck someday.

it's not playing most Vita games, and the Switch doesn't even run that well yet lol. I wish it would, because then I'd be playing them
I mean that's fair, but I sold my launch switch because I can play switch games on my PC better than the switch and almost as well on the deck. fair trade for all the other PC games I can run on the deck.
So.. which is your favorite one?
I probably play the Pocket, the RG353V, and the Pocket Flip the most, but I really love the steam deck as a pc replacement for accessing my massive steam library without using my giant power guzzling pc.
