I float between Nord and one of the beast races but have also been a dark wood and woods wild in my 12 years of Skyrimming. What’s your fave and why?

Obviously I’m always a stealth archer too.

I go argonian. Waterbreathing + Histskin means that in I can hide underwater and heal or just escape using the waterways

I have a very hard time not going Breton. They're a jack of all trades and their magic resist is hard not to pick.

It also doesn't hurt that a lot of the other racials are pretty useless and most of the rest are easily replaceable. Kajit claw damage is a notable exception for unarmed playthroughs (though that also is pretty niche), and there's just... something about playing a Nord in Skyrim.

Khajiit. Every time.

Two hander berserker? Khajiit.

Bare claws brawler? Khajiit.

Stealth archer? Pssh, khajiit.

Mage? Alteration? Destruction? Any mage at all? Obviously Ko'vari the khajiit :)

Khajiit each and every time. I don't know why. I just got a steam deck and started Skyrim after not playing a while and tried to select something else, but Khajiit was the only thing that seemed right.

I got tired of the stealth archer, so I am trying a mage. It's pretty fun. Hard, but fun.

I wish there was a better way to navigate the menus. Being a mage is SO time consuming honestly. As much as I try to give alteration a stronger shot, I almost always end up going full destro because the time it takes to buff up and attack vs just going nuts is kind of annoying.

there is/was a mod called smart cast (its not updated for SE last i checked but you can make it work for se yourself) to auto cast based on a wide range of prerequisites like entering combat, health, stamina, magika meter %, on sneak etc. Makes all the buffs and what not no hassle.

Ive played all but breton and redguard. Anymore I play as a nord or altmer. Nord cause it's skyrim, ya know, and Altmer cause tall elf girls I guess
