Sorry, maybe this question has already been asked (but can't find it), what are some good Lemmy open source clients for Android? All the ones I'm trying are really buggy and glitchy.

Liftoff, Jerboa, Thunder.

Liftoff is the one farthest in development. Jerboa is the most "official" one. You have to wait a few months for the others to mature.

Jerboa is the most "official" one.

~~I wouldn't say so, it's just been around for the longest time.~~

It's made by the same people that make the Lemmy system, isn't it?

huh, you're right, I've never noticed that.

Yep. I think this was even in their app description. Something like: "made by the lemmy creators"

I use Liftoff and I don't find it buggy. You need to be aware that most clients are under heavy development 🤔

Yes absolutely. All of them require a lot of effort and I'm not blaming the developers at all. Yes liftoff seems the most stable among the ones I've tried so far

I'm using liftoff mainly it works alright. Only thing that bothers me is that you can't switch apps without loosing something you typed and haven't send.

Other apps do save where i am and what i already wrote, infinity did it, quassel does it...

Sorry, I misinterpreted you comment as meaning, that if you write a comment in one app and switch to another you are able to continue writing it.

I like Thunder Fdroid

[–] keltaris@lemm.ee 3 points 2 years ago

I use Voyager and have been really impressed with both the quality and the speed of development.

I've tried Jerboa, Liftoff, Connect, Summit, and Thunder, yet the one I keep coming back to is Voyager. Clean UI, easy to use, easy to switch between accounts, features such as swipe, hide, favoriting communities. Easy to subscribe and block. Updated regularly, sometimes twice a day. Still waiting on sync. Will see what comes about.

[–] Awa@lemmy.one 1 points 2 years ago

At the moment, yes
