It's even softer than it looks, at least at first.
I have one orange tabby that absolutely adores belly rubs. He goes into a complete overload and sprawls right out purring so loud you can hear him from the next room. If you stop he'll swat at your hand and try to pull you back in.
His twin brother isn't terribly keen on pets in general though, although we're still working on him. (They were both strays we took in.)
