I think it's a tobacco trial. The main character is the wife of one of the jurors? I think the bad guy / big company is trying to buy the jurors out by using the services of the wife

I don't think that show ever watched clips. Are you sure you watched it'd seen clips? Maybe you watched how another show had seen clips and thought it was this one?

Yep that's the one. Saw the movie first later meaning in last year read the book and was shocked that it wasn't about guns. Damn good novel. All of his books are great, but not all have happy endings.
