I want to move to bluesky so bad but I just can't get a damn invite. I applied via email months ago. This is their moment & I kinda feel like the invite system is holding them back. (But I do understand why it was implemented.)

Oooh thank you for the rec! I didn't realize this was based on a book & it seems like the perfect scenario to expand on in a way only a novel can vs film.
Oooh I just watched this for the first time last night, I loved it! That bear is damn near perfect monster design. The visuals are fantastic overall, I loved the fungal shapes & plants. I was kinda bugged that they seemed to imply swapping hox genes between species was causing it all though, like that's not how that works. Unless that was supposed to be a guess from the character...but she's supposed to be a biologist? Idk. I still liked the movie.
Or a lifetime of constant excruciatingly loud sonar blasts. Combine the two & I'd be beaching myself as well.
Does it function like spotify? Does it play well with android auto? I've been using Tidal for years & I'm very happy with it but if the YouTube version offers a similar experience with no YouTube ads I'd try it out.

I did. I tried, I'm just not getting it. I mean I'm here...I'm not giving up on learning this stuff. It just doesn't click for me so far & as a visual artist, the traffic on these mainstream sites is still important for me too. I'm kinda trapped into whatever alternative the masses settle on.
Don't forget to turn off automatic updates for twitter if you're stuck using it till you can get a bluesky invite!
