As much as I think Russia is a hellish pit that radiates evil, even I recognize that the intentionally fragile global economy requires Russian grain to flow freely if we don't want half of Africa (and probably part of Douth America) straight up federating with Russia.

But I’d argue that you should not store anything on Mastodon where it would be an issue if it became public.

One of the first things new fediverse users should be told is that the fediverse is not the darknet.

They will likely only allow apps and instances which they approve, and which agree to tie into their monetization APIs. Just like reddit should have done with third party apps, if they weren’t run by the stupidest fucking sentient creature on the planet.

Exactly this. I probably would not have quit reddit if the only change at the end of June was RIF sticking in some ad row every 10 posts.

Exactly this. It would be the height of stupidity to create this space/network that frees us from so much of the hyperconglomerate bullshit only to invite them in willingly.

In LOZ: Breath of the Wild, I didn't think to check if you could use the Sheikah Slate on Eventide Isle (where they take away all your items and clothes). I'm proud to say I beat that challenge with ZERO tools!
