OK, but regardless of who supplies them, if Ukraine had a few under their own control, for better or worse it would give them a deterrent they never should have been swindled into letting go of. Sucks, but it seems any nation that doesn't have nukes is at an extreme disadvantage in defending its sovereignty.

In fact, I think it would be worth it to put a few nukes in every NATO nation bordering Russia or its smaller, unprotected ex-satellites. Putin will grandstand about it but is he really going to start WWIII on it? If he was willing to do so, he already would have when other nations began sending conventional military aid to Ukraine. His bluff needs to be called and he needs to be forced to back down.

I'll let you know once I receive mine, fate willing :)

...but a properly functioning calculator doesn't confidently state the square root of -1 is pi... all current AIs make shit up when they don't actually find a factual answer, or parrot back wrong answers from whatever crap they trained on. Until the problems of recursive ingestion decay and lack of ability to introspect on the correctness or provenance of data is solved, they cannot be trusted and they give a false sense of confidence.

Agreed. Every NATO nation in Europe (and Canada, which aint so far across the Bering Strait) should be commandeering auto and steel production etc. to build defense gear pronto. We cannot assume the US will assist at all when Russia makes its next move.

..and for those on Linux there is 'DeGouru', a tool for de-DRMing internet archive books that are lending-restricted.

A bit annoying in that it is somewhat sensitive to the Python version one has installed but there are ways to manage that which I am not qualified to advise on.

Give Ukraine back some nukes under their own control.

They damn well better have the endurance, they likely won't get a choice as Putin steamrolls onto Belarus and then Poland or whatever they're planning.

So kick US out of NATO. They can re-apply once they're done with fascism.

Not surprising, the entire world now has seen in just the past week how enthusiastically Google licks the boot (see 'Gulf of Mexico')

This is a great tool to overwrite your posts with random words and a link to get others to consider doing so as well.

Once my comments are all gone, I'm gonna delete the posts too.

EDIT: ..and I'm perma-banned :). Guess they don't like mentioning lemmy.whynotdrs.org ("... attempting to pillage the community to start another"). Yeah, that's kinda the point. Buh-bye rexxit.

I know the sign's not there anymore, but it's fun that it has been preserved for posterity in Google Maps (and Google accepted my edit for the website link to point to drsgme.org!)

EDIT (July 26 2023): Reposted yet again, as a tourist attraction. If you leave a review, please keep it relevant to the actual site and the reason it's there (mr boost's sign), not random meme pics like last time :) Hopefully it'll stick this time. https://goo.gl/maps/2EMbUwc442KvByyt6

Hi, I like Jerboa so far, new user. One thing I miss from the desktop lemmy UI is a way to see all my subscriptions (of 'favourites') in a list, to quickly tap and jump to a particular one. Is this somewhere hidden in the current UI, or an upcoming feature?

Thanks, I appreciate the work!
