I don't speak French, nor have I ever wanted to learn.

The French got a lot of shit after WW2, but that was a long time ago.

That being said, the French sure knew how to throw a revolution. More recent events over there involved less guillotines, but they still gathered as a people to make themselves heard.

I rocked long hair from grade school to my mid 20s.

Then, a lady friend (platonic) sat me down and had a talk with me.

The thinning, now seemingly always greasy, strands of hair was not a good look. Like, don't visit a playground or I would be arrested on site lol.

So, being a metal head there are two main options, or at least were at the time. Long hair. Or take bare clippers to it.

So, I did.

That first winter fucking suuuucked. Still to this day, I tend to rock a hoody in cold weather, and toss my hood up to cover my head for warmth when outdoors.

Sometimes I let it grow out for about a month before taking clippers to it again, out of sheer laziness. A month of growth, from shaved, isn't much in the way of hair, but temperature wise it is very noticeable.

Naproxen, based on dosage, is available over the counter in the US too.

It takes a little research (usual prescription dose) and a little math (adding up OTC shit to the prescription dose) and you can get the same effect for a few bucks for a big box generic.

I used it for a LONG time for various pains. I went from playing hockey, to retail, and... man, both can leave you in pain. Especially if half of everyday is unloading trucks box by box. Thankfully, I'm out of that line of work for the most part... but I moved from a major city to a rural area and I'm desperate for work, so we shall see.

Naproxen does work, for most. I had a pharmacy tech cert, and I can say that every med doesn't work for every person. There is no panacea.

That being said, overuse can contribute to stomach ulcers. They suck. They hurt. You have to change most of your habits.

Though, I will say, if you want to get out of work because you don't feel well (because ulcers) vomiting blood from 5 actively bleeding ulcers will make even a shitty walmart manager condone your absence.

I loved Control.

I absolutely could not get into AW, and it bums me out because it seemed intriguing.

Pagers certainly still exist.

Troubleshooting issues with them is a pain too.

That being said, I've only seen them in the medical field.

I'd clear up the message a little bit, but that might be the first bumper sticker I ever put on a car I owned.

You're not wrong. Some of these folks do sound a bit like Charlie Kelley.

Linux is the key there.

All your complaints revolve around Windows.

That being said, if you don't want to fuck with computers any more than necessary, that route won't be particularly pleasing until Valve can release their OS and Launcher updates, assuming they keep things user friendly.

Linux gaming is leagues better than it was 20 years ago. Still hard to beat a fresh Windows install (key: fresh) and most certainly a console when it comes to ease of use.

During driving lessons.

Sure.

In the state I learned to drive in, they didn't exist. They weren't in the driver's manual. Nothing.

So there are generations of people who can't, or won't, figure out how they work, its a fucking nightmare.

Moved to another state recently. No problems here. In fact, driving here is a much less harrowing experience.

I don't like his comments, but honestly... I haven't had the energy or time.

When I have one, I lack the other.

Do I want to? Yes, in a sense. I have an enterprise grade server I could self-host a lot of services on, and it sounds like a fun project... but getting that all done? A task. Getting cooling, noise reduction (fucker is LOUD), and such installed? A bigger task that takes more money than I have available right now. All that jazz.

Eh, the age of majority has been a sham for a long time.

You can get drafted to die for your country in some god-forsaken land, but if you survive to go home you can't grab a beer.

I'm not saying the drinking age should be lowered, but be consistent.
