TACO, time to ignore.

They actually have a problem with workers or the lack of them and they have invested heavily in robotics. They aren’t the China of the 70s and 90s. It’s really something that we need to face up to if we want to compete but our political class isn’t really ready for that sort of reality. Years behind because of smugness.

While they are subsidised, the Chinese are really good at low cost manufacturing. It’s not the cheap labour anymore but factory automation and robotics. They really outclass anyone else.

Billionaires, you have to have faith that they are on your side. As an atheist I have some difficulty with faith in this context.

Not doing well in the polls? Another controversial angst fest is needed. Just ignore him.

What’s with all these right wing jokers, everything they don’t like is a conspiracy by someone they want to use as a scapegoat? Can’t shit happen by itself?

It appears that they got what they voted for. If they voted Democrat then they can justifiably be pissed off but for everyone else, Trump said he was going in hard and that’s what he is doing.

There was a lot of talk about his mental decline, so should anyone be surprised?

Computerisation, the paperless office etc all were supposed to generate better quality of life for workers. It was how it was sold. The reality is that staff numbers were reduced with work and competitive pressures increasing rates of stress and depression.

Thanks, this is an unexpected image and a fun fact for the next party.

I’ve seen the odd reference to live tracking (like WhatsApp) in Signal but as I can’t find any real detail I assume that it doesn’t exist. Is that the case?

It’s not surprising that we may have passed 1.5c however the confirmation that climate science is on the money is a worry.
