Plebbit will hopefully become the Free Software, distributed replacement for Reddit.

There is already a demo which is semi-functioning and a whitepaper.

It might be early days, but the clone should be able to compile to wasm, ios and android. This will eventually help in building clients for ios and android that use native components instead of webview. It will also help creating bindings for other languages like python, etc.

Plebbit is not a joke. You can see a demo here.

There is a whitepaper, and there has been a lot of work already using cool technologies like ENS (Ethereum Name Service) and IPFS (Inter Planetary File System).

To help keep Plebbit free from censorship, it is distributed, and nodes, built with React, use peer-to-peer tech to communicate.

If you like, please take a look at what Plebbit is doing and see how you might be able to make it more responsive.
