What @beernutz@lemmy.world said, pretty much.

European too here, though with a special interest in all of this since I'm one of the closest europeans to the US, living right in the middle of the Atlantic. πŸ™‚

Make no mistake. Last time Trump got legitimately "thrown out of his palace" he called upon an army of insurrectionists to storm the capitol.

Now he's back in there, surrounded by yes-men, and his insurrectionist army is pardoned and with boosted confidence that they can spread chaos without consequences. And by being POTUS many of his armed forces supporters have the "following orders" and "his elected authority" excuse to side with him against the remaining government branches and the people.

Whatever enforcement entity SCOTUS can get to impose actual consequences to this administration's wrongdoing on April 23rd, if it comes to it, Trump won't take it lying down. That's a guarantee with these savages.

There shouldn't be Luigis in the world. Not because what he did is wrong, but because there shouldn't even be a reason to do it in the first place.

I want a truly peaceful and equal world. But when we live in a world of "rules for thee but not for me" and where the elite is allowed to profit from the misery of the people, there might as well be no rules at all - we might as well live in chaos and anarchy.

That's what happens when in the same week you have someone shooting a CEO for preying on thousands of lives, and someone lighting other person on fire in the subway, in the same city, and yet justice application is very different for either case.

Because if one of us isn't equal, no one is. Luigi is just a natural balancing consequence to the abuse of the elite - and try as they may to make an example out of him, the more they do it the more people will be driven to sheer despair and insanity, having nothing else to lose.

I don't mind losing. So long as they don't win and get away with it either. I might not get the world I long for, because sadly humanity has quite a few bad apples, but I won't stand idly by while said bad apples get to live happily ever after in their debauchery at the cost of our lives either.

Not confirmed beyond every doubt so far, as it's still fresh news, but Anonymous seems to have leaked 10+ TB worth of files on Russian assets.

There's a folder with Trump's name among them.

Still, if it really turns out to be factual, the UK had already warned the US about this in 2016, before Trump was even elected the first time, to no avail. Some people just know evil is evil, and still choose to side with it.

I legit wonder how someone previously condemning bad acts and bad people can do a 180Β° and suddenly side with evil. Almost as if the original was replaced by an evil twin.

And then I remember. These are politicians. Aka wannabe actors who play whatever character will advance their career the most. And unlike many actual actors, they're always in character, with no real personality underneath. Wolves in sheep's skin.

Reminds me somewhat of the game "Little Nightmares", where the bad guys are depicted as monsters hiding under a human skin.

I hate Trump, Putin, and every other piece of shit like them. But they are largely known quantities. Lower than a fascist, is a deceiving fascist.

Little Marco. Maybelline Vance.

It definetly was the platform ever. Like, no doubt about it.

I mean... His headache will surely end, forever, as will all other sources of pain...

Now you, lady... Depending on your personality and surrounding environment, I'm not as sure. Some headaches are inflicted. Others are chronically self-inflicted.

Leading by example. Yes.

Show class and integrity, don't just argue about the lack of it in others. Do what's right, regardless of what others may think, regardless of the waves of negative opinions trying to dissuade or turn you against your own ideals by acting rashly and out of sheers spite.

Sometimes I look at the politicians from my country, and think to myself "gosh, what a bunch of sleezebags. Even I could do a better job". And then I see this and come back to reality.

I mean, my politicians are still sleezebags, but not at this level, and that doesn't necessarily correlate to my ability to actually do better than them with no actual experience.

These folks are the me that didn't stop at intrusive thoughts. Who thought that just because they were raised on silver spoons and bailed out at every blunder they knew better.

Yup. Peaceful protests only work when the tyrant actually cares about the opinion of the protesters and may want to go out with even a shred of dignity.

That doesn't work for self-absorbed scum who believes they're above everyone else and thinks they can win by bulldozing the opposition - appealing to the good will of a sociopath won't save you, because there's none there.

He's calling the people's bluff, and he damn well knows the people don't want to get their hands dirty.

All the defense of school shootings for what? For a second amendment that isn't even used in the only situation in history where it would be justified? All talk, no action. And Trump is exploiting it big time.

Yes. But even more accurate in this case would've been the original meme format, where the US would be rage screaming "STOP MOVING ON WITHOUT ME!!! 🀬"

They've already even complained about the mere possibility of Canada switching trade focus to Europe, calling it an unfair team up against the poor little victim US which "would have consequences".

If there was an honest to God legal way they'd already have figured it out along with everything else in Project 2025, long before coming into office.

They're trying to find out a better loophole than the last one, which blew up in their face. And trying to find ways to remove the people in the way of said loopholes.
