I do all of these things. Is that a sign?

[–] Jake_Farm@sopuli.xyz 1 points 7 hours ago

Thank you for such in-depth answers. I know for certain that I am nowhere near the depths of my depression. When I was at my worst I was numbing all of my emotions to avoid the anxiety and feeling of failure. And while recently my mood has been more unstable, that is directly linked to a change of meds for a physical health issue. My life is by no means drama free and it hasn't made me catatonic yet. Anxious, sure, but I am not constantly dwelling on it. I certainly could be at a better quality of life, it would require drastic changes to my living situation which while are doable eventually I think. Honestly, I think anxiety might be more of a barrier for me than depression. Not that depression doesn't make everything harder, but is more of a sign that I am not living a fulfilling life.

Be the game

I mean it sounds like you are describing someone who is selfish that demands much and returns little of those around them. I don't believe I do that. But you are saying I will if I don't figure out my self esteem issues before hand?

Thank you, I am saving this, it is a good quote.

What are they supposed to store an indefinite amount of video for an indefinite amount of time?

[–] Jake_Farm@sopuli.xyz 1 points 16 hours ago (3 children)

Maybe not but they are highly comorbid. And having depression get in the way of a lot of my goal took a toll on my self esteem.

[–] Jake_Farm@sopuli.xyz 1 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

At this point I don't think there will ever be a cure given how long I have lived with it. Part of me wants to date so that there is something humanly normal about my life, another part stays up late at night wishing there was someone to hug me when Im sad and someone to share my music, memes, and fan theories with, and part is just amorous I think. I'm not experienced enough with dating to even know how to avoid codependence. I haven't been in such a relationship but I also would know what to look for other than not have low self esteem.

I wouldn't know. It would probably take me months to figure out if the sort of people that attend these clubs would be dateable. I am no expert on hobby clubs but the little experience I have had with them is they tend to be small and hardcore. Since I am not hardcore about anything either due to personality or depression, it is difficult to gage if I have a place there.

So that rules out people with depression?

[–] Jake_Farm@sopuli.xyz 2 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

What do you mean by dependencies? As in codependency?

[–] Jake_Farm@sopuli.xyz 2 points 18 hours ago (3 children)

Yeah dating apps either frustrate me or discourage me so I am trying to avoid them. The trouble is that the alternatives are meeting people at hobby based clubs or approaching people while I am out and about which I don't have the cajones for.

I have been going to therapy off and on for years and whenever I bring up my desire to date and my difficulties with it I have gotten back to just work on myself and online I have seen "if you aren't happy alone you won't be happy in a relationship". I have major depression and have had it for years. Am I supposed to just hope it goes away? Wait until my entire life has passed?

For those unaware aluminum bronze is an alloy of aluminum, copper, along with other trace metals and is characterized by being corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and strength. Sounds like the perfect material for safety razors and yet, I haven't found any examples of razors being made out of this. Why do you think this is? P.S. Turns out there is also an alloy called aluminum brass which is similarly corrosion resistant but slightly less strong. I would ask the same question about this material as well.

I don't know why it is popping up in my recommendations but I am not thrilled by this trend.

A good half of these are about high end platted razors, and one rule is don't drop it as if anyone purposely does that. He also says only use mineral oil but I wonder if linseed oil would also work.

I bought this old guy at the local antique shop. It only had superficial rusting that I cleaned up with lemon juice and baking soda. No obvious brand mark anywhere and I am not really all that knowledgable about antique safety razors. Anyone have any clues? I can never seem to get pics to embed right

Edit: Ok current theory based on the information you guys have helped provide: The head is from a gillette old type, and the handle is from a gillette new long comb. I am told the handles would break on occasion.

For decades white people have been mocked for their dancing skills and then this shit is somehow considered good? Squatting, shuffling your feet, and swinging your arms up and down requires even less skill and coordination than the chicken dance.

The Open Source Initiative (OSI) released the RC1 (“Release Candidate 1” meaning: This thing is basically done and will be released as such unless something catastrophic happens) of the “Open Source AI Definition“.

Some people might wonder why that matters. Some people come up with a bit of writing on AI, what else is new? That’s basically LinkedIn’s whole existence currently. But the OSI has a very special role in the Open Source software ecosystem. Because Open Source isn’t just based on the fact whether you can see code but also about the License that code is covered under: You might get code that you can see but that you are not allowed to touch (think of the recent WinAmp release debate). The OSI basically took on the role of defining which of the different licenses that were being used all over the place actually are “Open Source” and which come with restrictions that undermine the idea.

This is very important: Picking a license is a political act with strong consequences. It can allow or forbid different modes of interaction with an object or might put certain requirements to the use.

Up until I saw the person I couldn't even tell this was 3d which is saying something because the vast majority of 3d trying to emulate 2d I have seen has a weird plastic look to them.
