Media frenzy for this event will make a great distraction from the cancellation of the shit show military parade / ego stroke.

They cancelled the parade? I hadnt heard, but im also intentionally not paying attention to it

I heard that he even was in a police car. He had a badge and taser and vest etc... it really does feel like it actually is a police officer

Thats not how overunders work...

Over/unders need to have a numeric value, not a yes/no.

An over/under could be, "how quickly until trump disrespects this?" Or even better, state the line yourself. "Over/under 1 hour until trump appeals this?" Then people can actually pick under or over.

Im right there with you. I didnt want our second dog. My wife was certain she did. Now his seperation anxiety is so bad that hes on puppy prozac and needs something cleaned up every day because we both work. And guess whos doing all the feeding, cleaning, medicine, and baths? Guess who wants to get rid of him? And guess who he follows around and will literally sit on?

Edit: grammar

Which, for people doing that math at home, includes LA

Just watched a video on lemmy of a lady walking home from work at night. The police had a line she needed to cross to get to her apartment and they shot her.

"Exempt" only goes so far

Cant answer for certain, but they is a chance that it wasnt connected to the network.

My company has some version of chatGPT that has been brought into our intranet and does not communicate with the outside. It also "forgets" all of the user input every so often (i think like 15 minutes?).

Our eventual plan is to feed it our internal best practice documents and all of our design records so that it can learn about our company. But it will be ours, and not connected to the outside world. We had a legit concern about data leaks, and this is how they got around it.

I really appreciate that he didnt say "trump was lying about the phone call," and took it to this level. Thats a good smear

The only problem with this tactic as an unstructured layoff is that the first people to walk out the door are the people who can easily get jobs else where. You lose your best talent and retain the people who are less likely to find a new job

Execs dont really care tho. Each person is a number and skill sets dont matter
