Holding elections during martial law is against the Ukrainian constitution, and it was like that long before Zelenskyy was voted in

It's honestly amazing how much stuff they put in it that the vast majority of players will just never see. Going by steam achievements, most players don't make it even halfway through the main path, and the main path is less than half of the game's biomes

There might not be a cure. I know that I don't expect mine to ever really go away. But even when it's still present, the degree to which you have it under control is a broad spectrum.

And yes, it is much more difficult for those of us with serious depression to maintain a healthy level of self-esteem, but it is not impossible by any means

I'm not experienced enough with dating to even know how to avoid codependence

Experience with dating is not how you avoid it. Self-esteem and being comfortable without a relationship are. That's why the advice is to get those things sorted first.

I agree, I doubt the AfD base would care. However, I would like them to reach the conclusion of "Don't vote AfD" within the next two days even if they wouldn't have done so on the basis of other corruption

The PhD was already public knowledge and is therefore clearly not the issue here.

How damaging is this likely to be for them? A corruption scandal two days before an election seems like it ought to hurt, and I would assume as an outsider that AfD voters are not exactly pro-China

Because if you define it the way I described, you're referring to a relatively well-contained patch of water as far as seas go. It's like asking why Romania doesn't border the Mediterranean: the Turkish straits are enough of a barrier for it to be useful for us to consider the Black Sea a separate thing.

With the Gulf of Mexico, the gaps between Mexico and Cuba and Cuba and Florida are narrow enough the it affects the behaviour of the tides, and historically if you controlled one of those three points you could make it difficult for someone else to get past you into the gulf. If you combine it with the Caribbean you've now got one name for patch of water even though it's in two halves of that are quite meaningfully different and divided from one another. You're right that it's ultimately just whatever we decide to call it, but defining the gulf as the bit northwest of Cuba has historically been useful so it's where the definition settled

I can't even think of a way that this could be given some veil of innocence either. The "my heart goes out to you" thing was always bullshit, but it was an attempt at plausible deniability. I don't think even that could be done here

Fuck me, I'm scared for my friends in the States

The Gulf of Mexico is basically the bit of water contained if you draw a line from the eastern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula to the western tip of Cuba and then a second line from the northernmost point of Cuba to the southernmost point of Florida. The stuff off the north coast of South America is all the Caribbean Sea

risk an American withdrawal from Europe.

Do it, coward

Hey, that makes no sense, Canada doesn't have any coastline on the gulf!

It'll have to be Cuba, USA, Mexico

Shoutout to poleslav for telling me to ignore the thermometer and giving general encouragement. My distillation efficiency was absolutely terrible and I got the balance of juniper and hibiscus way off, so it's sweeter than I intended, but it's definitely pleasantly drinkable.

For those that can't read my handwriting, it was a super basic barley mash to make the base alcohol, then juniper, hibiscus, rose, and elderflower as botanicals.

I'm particularly fond of heather ales and spruce beers. The only sahti (which has juniper) I've had was made by me, so I have no idea if I got it traditionally right, but I certainly enjoyed it. No disrespect to all you IPA lovers out there, but the hops-forward style isn't my thing, so for those of you that are in the same camp, where do you like to turn?
