I worked in planning, I won’t say for who as I can’t other than to new employers based on the package I got.
It’s a field very close to being replaced by AI, if it gets to a point where it understands employees propensity to work different patterns and times then it will just replace people.
Hence I’m looking to now change careers before that happens, but starting again after more than 15 years is harder than I thought and I thought it would be hard.
As somebody who got made redundant last week and is facing the shit heap of a job market right now.

I agree, that’s what I mean by it just going mask off, there’s no pretending about a probable cause of higher moral path etc this time.
I’m starting to think the same thing, if you go over US foreign policy since WW2 it is almost like the mask is just coming off entirely now.
Hopefully that means somebody other than Unihertz will make a keyboard phone.
I don’t need it to be super high end, I’d just rather not own a Chinese made phone with all the data they send back.
It was a thing for most of the world, I just don’t believe it really caught on in the US, it was called teletext and was really widely used.
I can’t say I love the terminal, if there’s a GUI for a task I’ll use that but there comes a time in every troubleshooting session where the terminal is just the only way to do something reliably.
I’m not going to lie though, I forget commands constantly so have to search the most basic shit to type in.
While I would love to have the UK rejoin it won’t happen in at least the next 5-8 years, probably not even 20 years. The problem isn’t just whether the EU would accept the UK it’s that the Brexit period was so politically toxic the two main parties won’t touch it.
The people can say they want it all they like but unless a governing party is willing to risk tearing itself apart over it then it won’t go anywhere.
