That's mostly due to the Volume setup they use, to film without green screen, in some/most scenes.
You can clearly see it in kenobi, I guess in Mandalorian Season 1 it wasn't that noticeable because it was brand new.
And that's why Andor feels so much larger and grounded, a lot of on-location shooting, with classic green screens for ships cockpit and others.
Edit: and I re-read your post only now to notice you already talked about the Volume... I need to get a nap
What if it's some system where you buy a server system in a box with everything pre-installed, you can use it as a console game box, and when not in use it's a game streaming server to other players (like Geforce Now), and it pays a bit in your steam wallet.
So it would be a Mainframe, without the Main as it's distributed, hence a Frame
Upgraded to a HTC Vive Pro 2 this year, had to upgrade to an RTX5070 to follow on the resolution and framerate, but I don't regret it one bit, I mostly play Elite Dangerous, with some action games here and there.
I've tried to get into VR Chat but I guess it's not for me.
I used to play beat saber quite a bit but now for some reason I get some stutter/lag every other seconds, which makes it unplayable...
Fabula Ultima implements the power of friendship in a nice discrete way. Wish I could motivate my friends to play it though :(
