This isn’t leaving tech… it’s leaving corporate employment.

Still great options, but I was expecting something more like: pivot to a different role in your existing company and then find another non-corporate use for those skills, or get your apprenticeship in the trades, or become a bus driver.

This goes nicely with abortion bans, criminalization of life choices that don’t produce babies, and the disenfranchisement of women.

There are tools for converting Hyper-V drives to vmdks that everything can read. Then just fire up new kvm instances and load the disk images.

Two books I found really useful at the time:

The Little LISPer by Daniel P Friedman

Applied Cryptography by Bruce Schneier

Both are rather niche, but helped me understand general computing and design concepts.

Indeed. While most of the time a fin sighting would be harmless, that area is within territory covered by great white sharks. In 2021 a woman swimming at Margaree Island was bitten by a great white that likely mistook her for a seal.

As waters warm, mako and great white sharks have been spending more time close to shore over the past decade.

Just like with any animal at the top of the food chain, it’s better to use caution than to tempt statistics.

How many people did they employ to intercept $378k of “mostly ED drug knockoffs”?

It’s good that they blocked unregulated drugs, but it really feels like they missed way more than they found.
