This sure doesn’t sound like “fleeing”:

Stephen Miller … has listed his Arlington home for $3.75 million — just two years after buying it for $2.875 million.

That sounds more like flipping.

I mean… he’s trying to make almost a million dollars on the place; if he were fleeing, they would have already left and be trying to sell below market value to recover losses where they could.

Of course, other people with legally purchased homes are being grabbed off the street by masked men and thrown out of the country… on his orders.

The other side sure seems to think so.

That would be… crude.

How long until ICE starts arresting ICE agents?

One thing all Trump supporters have in common is the firm belief that the leopard wouldn’t eat THEIR face.

They fail to realize that being a Trump supporter is a revolving door, and at any point it might be determined that they aren’t supporting Trump enough (or the team needs a new fall guy).

If you saw it in Lemmy, try using the search function with keyword perplexity?

I think I remember the article you mean; I think it was about local agentic search. No idea where that was though.

India had restrictions on Canadian passports when this report was generated; lifted now. And the EU is about to impose restrictions.

Wow… it used to be that you couldn’t go wrong with a Canadian passport, to the point where they were being heavily traded on the black market.

People using that legacy hardware generally can’t run Windows 10, which just ended support this month. The patch is only for Windows 11, which won’t run on older hardware.

Data released by Statistics Canada shows that life expectancy at birth in Canada has increased, rising from 81.3 years in 2022 to 81.7 years in 2023.

That’s some cherry picked data there… for years, life expectancy in Canada was stable between 82 and 83, and that includes Quebec, which had been bringing the average down.

Life expectancy has dropped in the past decade, and is only now starting to recover.

It’s what comes with more users. As people you don’t know start writing in styles you’ve only seen parroting arguments you disagree with, the urge to shut things down increases.

Plus, there ends up being more stuff to read in the same amount of time, which leads to shallower reading to cover it all.

I’m pretty sure they’re facing this resistance due to their thuggery when carrying out congress-passed laws.

ICE could be doing their job by helping immigrants navigate and fill out paperwork and educating new immigrants; instead they’re pepper bombing pastors standing in front of their offices praying for them.
