it's a message from god that he is displeased with us.

(hey turnabout is fair play. if hurricanes and tornadoes are punishment for gays, porn, and sodomy this earthquake is punishment for electing the antichrist.)

domestically you can get a base 2025 chevy ev blazer for around $27k while the ev rebate lasts. 300+ mile range with decent fast charging. I was really looking forward to getting one in the next 2-3 years but then dondi mcshytegibbon got elected and is killing not just the ev tax credit but the grant money to build out a dc fast charging infrastructure too. I might have to look at the plugin hybrid market instead when I really want to go fully electric.

I wouldn't get a tesla at any price because I'm now stuck in a tesla ecosystem just like apple users are by and large stuck in the apple ecosystem.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I miss john boehner. he was sane.

that's all fine and dandy. but there's an important question I've only seen one person bring up.

who's going to enforce the order? because this sounds very much like andrew jackson saying after worcester v georgia chief justice john marshall "has his ruling. let him enforce it", and we get the trail if tears.

fastest lap outside the top 10 doesn't bother me but what I think this does is eliminate the team orders of stopping someone (for example someone like oh I don't know, perez) who's on a heater stealing the point away from their teammate (like, dunno just pulling a name, verstappen) when the wdc is still being contested.

it's being killed because team orders rules everything in f1 and drivers can't just drive hard (without wrecking the other car).

well, tesla already was given a $400 million contract for armored teslas, so...

i agree.

our defense budget is larger than the next 9 defense department equivalents in the world combined.

because it's something they have done since 1979 at least. the country's problems aren't the fault of multinational corporations and a completely upside down tax code that overwhelmingly favors the super wealthy.

our problems are the fault of those shifty brown and black people, sponging off government largess, irresponsible, and always looking for a handout. the play hasn't changed. but the playcall has evolved.

blm, crt, woke, dei? it all means the same thing. it's just that they can't use the hard R in public.

not yet anyway.

saving a relative few pennies in the budget that affects the absolute least among us to give away several dollars to the richest among us which totally coincidentally happens to be him.

and these people who cheer this or are totally indifferent to this news claim to follow christ...

anyone with a tenth of a percentage of business sense could tell you a business that produces nothing but eyeballs to advertisers will be a massive failure if said business does anything to piss the owners of said eyeballs off.

and experts are confused why traded-on-the-markets social media companies are in freefall.

never used it in any practical function. i tested it to see if it was realistic and i found it extremely wanting. as in, it sounded nothing like the prompts i gave it.

the absolutely galling and frightening part is that the tech companies think that this is the next big innovation they should be pursuing and have given up on innovating anyplace else. it was obvious to me when i saw that they all are pushing ai shit on me with everything from keyboards to search results. i only use voice commands to do simple things and it works just about half the time, and ai is built on the back of that which is why i really do not ever use voice commands for anything anymore.
