well. shit. If we cant unite behind a good candidate because we think an asshat consolation candidate must win, I dont know how we win, because the asshat candidates always sell us out in the end. It the DNC way of things.

I really hate to say this

Come on, do you really think that though? gender is an issue to be factored in, but considering it the primary factor is a level of cynicism thats effectively bordering on hopelessness. Maybe you earned that cynicism, I get that, being a a real american lefty is hard lately. How about we stand behind someone who inspires? Who seems to care about the issues that affect the constituents? who at least seems to not be one of the bought and paid for AIPAC drones?
But you'd ponder running some asshat zionist like walz or shaprio instead, simply because they have a pecker and no tits? I dont think america is so far gone that they would pass up an inspirational human for a male human. And if we are, then its not worth fighting for anyway. If we are that far gone then its time for all of us to run.

Reminds me of a quote from the green mile movie.
“I’m rightly tired of the pain I hear and feel, boss. I’m tired of bein on the road, lonely as a robin in the rain. Not never havin no buddy to go on with or tell me where we’s comin from or goin to or why. I’m tired of people bein ugly to each other. It feels like pieces of glass in my head. I’m tired of all the times I’ve wanted to help and couldn’t. I’m tired of bein in the dark. Mostly it’s the pain. There’s too much. If I could end it, I would. But I can’t.”

Gotta keep fighting till its time to run, and then keep fighting after that, or we'll be a disappointment to our kids.

Once saw a squirrel run up to a half flattened spasming and dying squirrel on the road and chitter around it for a second. We all thought it was its friend or relative. Then it took the nut out of the dying squirrels mouth and ran off with it.

My only regret is that I could not have killed more snails in my short life. They eat my garden.

Like, genuine question here; how is this is a good system?

Good question. I think to answer that you have to take into account competing ideals in hyper-capitalist American noggins about how the poor are thought of, how americans measure themselves, how we see social services as charity, and where charity "belongs" in our system of governance. Many Americans even on the left think charity should be the role on non government organizations, usually churches. We're an overly religious country and we arent realistic about what churches do and how and why they do it. Since we hate the poor, we hate their support systems, and so we intend for them to be failure prone.

The TLDR (in my opinion) is that (on average) American policy makers hate their poor and think being impoverished is inevitably the result of a character flaw, criminal intent, or racial inadequacy and wealth is the result of higher character and virtue. Most Americans are startled to meet a rich black man, and doubly so to meet a rich black woman.

We also dislike the intelligencia, since at least the 70s. Unless they are in finance.

Oh man, can you imagine how the US looks to the rest of the world right now? Open and rampant corruption, pedophilia, hyper religion, war crimes, and general idiocy. If I were them I'd be fleeing the dollar and not consuming any of our media. Our soft power is plummeting through the floor right now. We are the laughingstock of the planet.

Hey now, RFK wasnt sucking them off exactly, he was testing to make sure they were circumsized, and that they had a healthy sperm count. He can also tell if the kids are healthy just by looking at them. Naked, obviously.

oh hey I'd totally forgotten about that topic.

Who would want to make a kid in this right wing corrupt pedophiliac capitalist anti-environmentalist hellhole we're living in?

Sounds like child abuse even thinking about doing it.

While it hasn't been used in 170 years, a forgotten trial by combat law still exists in Washington DC.

A group of 8 congressional dems challenged an 80 year old republican for floor time to debate a new bill to restore medicaid to its previous funding. Here is a video of the combat.

New Democrat coalition (pro-business centrists), and Problem Solvers cuacus (committee emphasizing bipartisan) darling up and comer Elissa Slotkin will detail the DNC democrats rebuttal to Trumps speech. Its unclear whether she will talk about Democrat's positions on key issues.

For those people wishing for "giant meteor" in the last US election, your desired meteor has finally arrived. The 40x90 meter fast moving meteor currently has a 2.2% likelihood of hitting earth. The effects of its impact would be severe but regional. For scale, the 30x98 meter meteor that hit the Podkamennaya Tunguska River Siberian forest in 1908 impacted 2150 sq meters (830 square miles).

Due to its lateness, smaller than needed size, lack of probable impact, and likeliness to actual deliver zero results, the meteor has been named "Centris" by observers.
