As a side note, in Fallout 3 the player can use a stun gun and an explosive neck collar to enslave most NPCs.

Both can be scummy. The former can basically be a mobile pay to win scam that drains bank accounts, the latter can be a "we decided not to add any more content, so thanks for the money and goodbye sucker!" scam that overprices a game and underdelivers.

Private contractor. Anyone cheaping out on their own security service isn't likely to survive an actual threat. Depends on who you hire and how much you paying them.
