AFAIK, Bandcamp lets you stream the tracks before you purchase them, Amazon also lets you stream free wth ads along with purchasing mp3s, so you can enjoy the catalogs and buy what you like on the same platform.

You can store your music on any cloud storage you wish, the free capacites can be enough, or a NAS or something.

How is telegram any better than that? Unless you use Secret Chats it is not even end-to-end encrypted.

It's worrying how Telegram says "all your chats are protected with strong encryption" while this is just standard stuff nowadays (wasn't when Telegram came out, to be fair). While it's technically true, it's almost sure to be misinterpreted and have it sound like it's equal to actual e2ee software

AFAIK homeservers retain complete metadata for all your conversations.
