Then they fume how it's based off bad research and cut themselves short. "However it's not like your son will be lined up for a nude photo. You can break the cycle of trauma". For niche topics yes, Reddit is 1000x the size of the fediverse. In terms of smart commenters and debates, not so much.

Really? I've seen Lemmings are much more competent, way higher debate ability, far less disinformation. Also I've seen this 10x so far in a month: "sorry, you're right". Almost never saw that on Reddit. And I've had to say it many times too.
