Sometimes something sticks out, like a Chekhov's gun, and you're just waiting for it to make it's way back into the story. Not all of the small details, obviously. But you can pick up some things on a single read through that you expect to come back into play.. even if you have a horrible memory.

I'm gonna guess.. the target is the first guy to crawl out of the water and they're taking 'em out because it was a mistake to leave the ocean? Of course someone else would've come along to evolve towards crab anyway.
The water wetting itself was just a minor distraction, but that dehydrated (sorry, non-wet) water is going to keep me busy for a while trying to remember something I've definitely forgotten.

Do you know that arson is not the most common cause of house fires among people currently receiving death threats? Because I don't. Like.. it could be, but I wouldn't presume.
The lefter the better is my motto, but there ain't always even a democrat running for some offices sometimes. We do the best we can in my house.
