Thanks for providing your view! I had only read the mostly negative reviews on job sites when I was thinking of applying around 2015ish.

From what I’ve read WOTC has been a bad employer for a long time.
I think it’s something you should think critically about since you moved in with him 2 years ago (16?) you aren’t a fully cooked human yet at that age.
You probably need to take a break from the internet, for your own health and safety.

I hate headlines like this. There are like 3 million people living in Silicon Valley. How many of these billionaire investors want this to be a reality? 10?
If it works and you are doing it in a healthy manner then that’s all that counts! I did it for years to help get me through the day but it is expensive and takes a toll on your body. Sometimes you have to take those little deserts to break free though.
Sometimes that’s all we can do! Speaking of cheese, I hate that one of my distractions is food haha
Great advice. And thanks! Feeling pretty good for the most part but it is interesting how the news or something in my social circle can destabilize me. You have some good advice in how to limit those triggers.
Trying to maintain stability and finding myself at a very meh level. Politics is crazy, taxes are looming, but thankfully I have a great network. Something has been nagging at me quite a bit though and I’m still noodling over it: what’s the point of it all? I made the decision to not have kids years ago and seeing all my friends have kids makes me feel that my path has less meaning than theirs. Just trying to understand my own path in life.
I’ll say to you the same bit of wisdom that I try to give myself: life is a complex series of mishaps and accidents so don’t be too hard on yourself :)
Why yikes? If you have someone there in your apartment to verify that this stuff is happening, then you can recruit them as an ally to help convince your parents or the landlord that it's happening.
Can’t you play vanilla Minecraft with accessibility addons? I believe they call it vanilla + or something
