You've already got my region of England highlighted, so there I suppose! I could work from home xD

Was confused at seeing a mod with brains and integrity then realised I've got Boost (Lemmy) open, not Reddit xD

Their constitution has protections on their rights for just such a situation, so they should be quite aware of their rights and what they're capable of as a people.

a. Temporarily concentrating a group of people together in a camp is still a concentration camp.

b. Then why are the US getting involved and sending their own undesirables there? At best, this is a bad thing Panama are doing, and the US said "hey cool we wanna remove people from society too but don't want to build our own concentration camps because that'd look bad, can we send them to yours pls?"

The same way we used to? Tags and the ability to search for things, along with word of mouth from your friends and media you follow.

Even before the internet, people found new things like music or books by interacting with those communities, looking in places where those things can be found and finding stuff they like.

We don't need some algorithm to spoon feed us things it wants us to like, we can find it ourselves with minimal effort.

I should visit a glacier so I can see what they look like, before they're all gone forever.

Iceland's just over the pond and I've always wanted to visit, hmm!

The Fuhrer shot himself, if I recall. Not that I wouldn't go back in time to shoot him again.

Commander, the Americans continue to make progress on the Avatar project. ... If we're going to slow them down, we need to move fast.

If there's anybody keeping a record of our actions I want them found and shot!

How do you accidentally sack someone?

You have to specifically choose a person, presumably with an actual reason for sacking them, then reach out to them specifically to inform them of their sacking.

In my country you also require a valid reason for doing so, you can't just randomly sack someone, I imagine in this case it would be being made redundant.

So, you decide your staff are no longer required and if their contract allows you to let them go (or you just pay the big severance or whatever), okay cool.

Then you.... change your mind? What?

That'd be a deeply incompetent employer. Like, buffoon levels. I wouldn't go back to working for someone like that. If nothing else, they've shown how little they care about their staff. Not worth it.

Woah now, organising within our local communities? that sure sounds like red commie talk - some guy, probably

There is no point, we don't exist for a reason, we're just a thing that happened in the universe by random chance.

That's not an inherently bad thing though, heck, the concept of "bad" isn't even "real", it's just an invention we came up with.

But I digress. We must find out own purpose and meaning in life, it won't be handed to us. Think of the journey as a fun ride with no rules, there are no gods, the universe doesn't judge you, you are unique and weird and amazing and can interact with the universe in ways no gigantic star or powerful black hole ever could.

Hello fellow Boosters! :-D

Apologies if I'm missing something obvious here, 😅 I saved a comment I'd like to go back to the other day but don't recall exactly what it was (darn my poor ADHD memory), and so I wanted to scroll through my saved/favourited comments to find it.

When I go to the "Saved" tab it lets me scroll through saved posts, but I can't find any way to switch to scrolling through saved comments, so I'm not sure how I'd go about finding them?

Thanks!
