Everyone paying the slightest bit of attention has known trickle down economics are a hoax since the 1980s. The problem is that almost half the people in the USA are ignorant supporters of fascism.

It'll most likely be avian flu, which is pretty bad. The Trump people are trying to ban MRNA vaccines and cut the vaccine research that might have helped with it.

He has almost certainly done a lot of money laundering for dubious Russian organizations, and he has also funded his businesses with Russian money. His indebtedness to powerful Russians will have been part of their leverage. And it would be surprising if there weren't at least a little blackmail thrown in too.

This is not a US official:

Alnur Mussayev, 71, a former Kazakh intelligence chief, made the explosive claim in a Facebook post on Thursday. He claimed that he served in the 6th Directorate of the KGB in Moscow, which was responsible for counter-intelligence support within the economy. One of its key objectives, he claimed, was “recruiting businessmen from capitalist countries.”

The allegation revives claims which Trump has denounced as “the Russia hoax,” and which dogged his first term in the White House.

Mussayev wrote that in 1987 “our directorate recruited Donald Trump, a 40-year-old American businessman, under the pseudonym Krasnov.”

Well isn't that odd - I wonder how come it got taken down?

The Mirror (not a very great source) still has a report on it: https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/us-news/donald-trump-recruited-kgb-codename-34726995

Efficiency is when the government abandons all its investments, lets everything fall apart, and drives all scientists to take jobs abroad before the next uncontrolled pandemic paralyzes the country.

And even when reporting on it they link to the neo-Nazi site X for the video.

It's regrettable that Obsidian isn't open source. But the nice thing about it is that its data store is just a bunch of markdown files in a folder structure, and very easily migrated to any other application. They may have the code but they don't take the data hostage like a lot of commercial software does.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Finland's Mika Aaltola of the European People's Party claimed that the U.S. "has given us three weeks to agree on terms for Ukraine's surrender," referring to a proposed peace deal aimed at ending the war.

"If we don't, the United States will withdraw from Europe," Aaltola added.

Trump is demanding that Europe hand Ukraine to Russia, or he will hand Europe to Russia. This man is not working for the good of the USA or its traditional allies. He is working against them, destroying Europe, NATO and the USA for the sake of himself, Vladimir Putin and a few Nazi billionaires.

And clearly when he threatens Europe like that they should not for a minute believe that he will not hand them over to Russia if they do what he says. Given that, Europe should tell him to get lost.

I agree that Trump's regime is a real danger to all these people, but the only way through this is solidarity and resistance, not hiding.

You'd think that 10% would be enough to make it difficult for them to do so. Throw in everyone else who hates what they're doing and there ought to be enough for an actual popular resistance.
