I wonder the same thing about pro sportsmen...

Windows bloat sucks. I wish Microsoft gave you the option to just install the components/features you're likely to use. That way you could have an agile, minimal custom installation like you do in Arch.

Good article. I use Brave on desktop and android. I like that the adblocking is baked in. I still have to add my favourite addons but that's the beauty of personalization.

Quick question: is the Tor browsing functionality in Brave adequate or should I just stick to the official Tor browser in that regard?

So it's basically the same as protectedtext.com

On a related note: does anybody think that Nostr will ever gain real traction? Promising project, I try it again every other month but it's still pretty rough...

Also: the fact that Dorsey has funded it and is a fan concerns me.

Most phones allow you to make emergency calls from from the lockscreen. I wouldn't bother with an app if my xiaomi phone allowed me to have text info on the lockscreen. Not just medical info but also "if found pls contact - "

I have this installed already. Might come in handy during the zombie apocalypse :)

I used to do this but I'd prefer to have medical aid details, blood type and contacts accessible from lock screen.

ICE and Medical ID on play store are both crap.

I love options but does anybody else wish devs would put their heads together and focus on improving ONE app rather than launch a millon similar forks?

Betterbird is good, not really minimalist but worth a try...

Really liking Vivaldi so far. The baked in adblocking and encrypted syncing is neat. Everybody also always recommends Brave as "good out of the box" where you can use it straight away without any tinkering...

If this is legit, it's the most low-key relaunch ever...
