Similarly, a trans man was lured by a woman in New York and was tortured and murdered over the course of a month by multiple people. Totally not a hate crime though!

(The cops had been ignoring his family begging them to check in for months.)

Here’s what happened to Sam by the way - I’m sure this was just a regular murder and none of these actions were motivated by transphobic hate.

From about Jan. 1 until his death on Feb. 2, Nordquist was prevented from using a phone, according to Wolford. He was kept in confinement and forced to stand and kneel facing the wall. He was hit, punched, kicked and sexually assaulted, she said.

He was also denied proper nutrition and hydration, forced to eat feces, forced to drink urine and chew spit, Wolford said. He was physically restrained, forced to obey commands like a dog, covered in the face with towels and shirts, duct taped and had bleach poured on him by the defendants, she said.

He was repeatedly struck with numerous objects including sticks, dog toys, rope, bottles, belts, canes and wooden boards, according to court documents.

Edit: anyone remember why Norm McDonald got fired from SNL? Was it OJ or was it what he said about Brandon Teena?

Pretty sure it was cuz one of the nbc top dogs was close with OJ and Norm wouldn’t stop making jokes about OJ being a murderer. He was warned to stop and instead of giving in, he doubled down. Members of the cast and writers respected him for it and have spoke about it on podcasts and such.
