Apparently Trump didn’t know Pentagon paused Ukraine aid back in February. Reuters: U.S. military aid to Ukraine was paused in early Feb — not by Trump, but by Defense Secretary Hegseth. There was no presidential order. The White House and State Department weren’t informed

Seems like they are setting Hegseth up to take a few falls to consolidate blame.

So this is just trump gaslighting then. Or he really has that short of a memory.

I thought it would be Musk would be the first scapegoat. Öets see who'll finish the race first

[–] entwine413@lemm.ee 21 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Musk still has money. He won't get the ax until that's gone because Trump doesn't realize he can just take Musk's assets. I'm sure there's plenty of legitimate reasons to sic most of the 3 and 4 letter agencies against Musk and his assets.

Nationalizing musk's assets really would be a broken clock moment for them imo

Well.. at least for when the government stops being fascist, that is

If Musk fully crosses Trump, I wouldn't be surprised if suddenly starlink and spacex were labeled as threats to national security.

[–] futatorius@lemm.ee 10 points 1 day ago

Using anything as shoddy as Starlink in a critical use case is definitely a threat.

It really depends on what Putin thinks of Musk.

[–] futatorius@lemm.ee 9 points 1 day ago

Putin thinks (no, he knows) that all of his American puppets are easily-manipulated fools.

I don't think Putin gives a fuck about Musk.

Don't be ridiculous. Musk is part of the oligarchs controlling Trump.
