So in the book he doesn't cobble together random parts, he explicitly picks the best parts across dozens of bodies, even down to the hair.

They implies that he went around dick checking every recently executed corpse for weeks until he found the most perfect and beautiful cock and the most prefect and beautiful balls to go with it.

Real monster was in his pants all along

As the minuteness of the parts formed a great hindrance to my speed, I resolved, contrary to my first intention, to make the being of a gigantic stature, that is to say, about eight feet in height, and proportionably large.

The creature packed.

But since Victor is a simia dei and his creation is flawed from the start he cannot bear him being fruitful and multiplying

Probably bailed on the idea because he couldn't find a woman corpse that the monster wouldn't split in half...

[–] SnortsGarlicPowder@lemmy.zip 2 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

Probably even less muscle bound women back then than 8ft tall dudes. How he found several let alone 1 8ft tall guy who also happened to be dead is also another question.

I imagine the monster was probably comically disproportionate, like he took the longest shins/thighs/torso he could get.

That or half the monster is parts from a horse...

I don't like the implication that Frankenstein's Monster has a matching set of balls, what's the chance that the two best ones you find come from the same sack?

[–] Postmortal_Pop@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago

We can't even say either of them came in that specific sack!

Do you think he took both balls from the same corpse, or from two different corpses?

[–] morphballganon@lemmynsfw.com 13 points 1 month ago

... why stop at two?

[–] Uli@sopuli.xyz 5 points 1 month ago

Maybe, yeah, if both of them had just one supremely good ball.

I mean, not that different to classical nude male statues and the consistent focus on dicks, just biologically instead of built from stone

Something tells me they didn't go around checking the scrotes of various marble blocks before they began to carve.

I must be crazy, because I don't remember there being any mention of him working with multiple bodies at all, let alone dozens.

Sounds like a great time for a reread! I know I am lol
