When possible I tell people that we can talk first for a bit and introduce ourselves later. My mind links names to persons, not faces.

"I want to decide if I like what you have to say before I want to know who you are". Good strategy. If he starts quoting Andrew Tate then I can say "no thanks" and bounce.

For some reason I have to say it if I want to remember it so if I'm being the better version of myself I'll try to fit it in as soon as I can.
