Not true, if you have some breathing room and are persistent you can find an employer who treats you well. I've done this at least a dozen times now

i would consider that to be part of find an employer who cares less about the corpo garbage, but yes, employers who actually care about their employees do exist.

Of course I understand there's those periods in your life where you NEED. MONEY. NOW. not a lot folk can do there unfortunately
