Foxes don't mew. They bark, kinda. It's one of the most horrible sounds nature overall produces. Sounds like a child being mutilated.
edit: hm, apparently "mew" doesn't mean what I thought it does - the sound a cat makes.

"Mew" is the sound a kitten makes. "Mews" can mean a building in which to keep one's trained falcons, or a group of homes that used to be stables, or homes that pretend to once have been stables, because Real Estate.
