Zaia [president of the Veneto region] defended the wedding and criticized protesters, saying that the celebrations would bring revenue of up to €48 million to local businesses, via the 90 private jets set to carry guests to nearby airports.

Think about our mom and pop private jet businesses!

48 million is honestly such a pathetically small number for the obscene wealth that’s going to be present… that’s like .00001% of the net worth of the attendees (guesstimate). Fucking pathetic to bend over for that.

Actually it's even worse - €48 million is roughly 0.00002% of Bezos' $200+ billion net worth alone, not even counting the other billionares who'll be there in thier private jets.
