Doesn't woke mean intelligent awareness of the issues? Why would that be an insult? Fuck George Orwell for giving Trump's goons all of these doublespeak and projection ideas. Now the whole world is affected and there is no common sense vaccine for it.

Woke means aware of systemic injustice, and yes it's a good thing. It's like calling someone a anti-racist or antifascist as an insult — it's not an insult except to the person issuing it.
