Sorry to gatekeep, but this video has nothing to do with fuckcars. Importing a gazillion cheap Chinese small cars would just make the situation worse.
It's mainly about how sensible options among new models disappeared. Young people are priced out of new models; cities started to accommodate SUVs with more and bigger parking spots. Enshittifying cities via lobbying while chasing higher margins.
I worked in automotive and now I'm in the market for a small economical car. I don't even want it but I need it.
The only sensibe option is used, if I don't want a four wheeled Titanic. This is awful and it contributes to the current division and radicalization of car v no-car views.

Ford cancelled the Fiesta in 2023(?). So getting a new one will be difficult but you can still get used ones in good conditions
Yes, unfortunately. It's now the Puma, slightly uplifted. But really, a modern used fiesta would be good. Just check which years are reliable since not all generations were.
